Martin Kidd

Consultant

“wealth of experience and knowledge of the West London industrial and logistics market”

Martin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team, having started out in practice almost 50 years ago when he joined King & Co in 1976 after leaving Oxford Brookes with a Diploma in Estate Management. Martin subsequently qualified as a Chartered Surveyor and was appointed a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) in 1992.

Martin’s specialist knowledge of industrial and logistics property has evolved over the years whilst employed, inter alia, by major landowning companies Brixton plc (over 22 years) and more recently by SEGRO PLC (over 10 years).

Martin’s position at SEGRO was as the Asset Manager for the Park Royal portfolio, dealing with around 90 different tenants. This enabled him to develop a very customer-focused approach to property management, as a result of which he has now built up an impressive client list since joining Vokins in 2021 as a consultant. These occupiers are mainly based in the Park Royal area and Martin has now dealt with over 20 rent reviews, lease renewals and relocation matters on their behalf on units ranging from circa 2,000 sq ft to 60,000 sq ft. Clients include Japan Centre, H G Walter, Paul UK, Laduree , Farley Prophire, Lifting Gear, Warmup PLC, Hotcam and Space Brands.

In his spare time Martin maintains an active lifestyle, being a member of the Bracknell Town Walking Football Club and in 2023 he completed his 100th Parkrun (time 28 minutes 5 seconds). He is a lifelong supporter of Portsmouth FC and enjoys following the tennis circuit throughout the year as well as fine dining (his favourite restaurant is The Whitebrook in Monmouth).
