Martin brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the West London industrial and logistics market, having qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1979, following completion of a Diploma in Estate Management at Oxford Polytechnic (now Oxford Brookes) in 1976.

Martin has worked within both private practice and an institution, but primarily he has completed in excess of 30 years of service since 1985 with both Brixton plc and SEGRO PLC, both major industrial landowners. He has dealt with all aspects of property and asset management during this time, including valuation, rent reviews, lease re-gearing, lease renewals and rating. For the last 10 years, Martin’s time has focussed on the management of SEGRO’s Park Royal portfolio, comprising around 90 occupiers from various fascinating sectors, including such well known brands as : –

• Automotive : Pagani and Aston Martin Service
• Media: Farley Prophire and Superhire
• Food & Beverage: Wagamama, Japan Centre and Taiko Foods
• Logistics: DHL, Ocado and John Lewis

Customer service has always been at the top of Martin’s list of priorities, and to this extent he has built up an excellent working relationship with all these occupiers, which has enabled him to run popular ‘Park Royal tours’ on a regular basis for various stakeholders in the business (SEGRO is now a FTSE 100 Company) to explain the nature and working practices of what goes on ‘behind the doors’.

Outside working hours, Martin enjoys the outdoor life and is a regular jogger, Parkrunner and 5-a-side footballer. He is a lifelong supporter of Portsmouth FC. His other interests include history, music and fine dining (his favourite restaurant is Chris Harrod’s The Whitebrook in Monmouth).
